( two )

my character gets into bed with yours, or vice versa;
what happens?

have you crawled under the covers for some friendly
cuddles, or are your intentions not so innocent?
are you planning some form of practical joke, or are
you just plain drunk?
maybe you just have no idea what's going on.

[ Rule of thumb it may be, but it seems to very rarely be put into practice, if recent incidents involving winter coats and "bitches" are anything to go by. Generally speaking, Michael is very adept at dealing with the inebriated or ridiculously tired (though it is usually the former he encounters, rather than the latter), even more so when he knows who he is dealing with, and he knows Brian very well. It's another matter, though, when you are fast asleep, but stir nonetheless, sensitive to the fact that there is another weight on the bed.

Michael turns his head somewhat, frowning, though he can't really bring himself to open his eyes yet, too hazy and fresh from sleep to rely on his usual sharp senses - and for a brief, moment, that's quite a blessing.
]

What- Gabriel? [ Because who else would it be? It's his and Gabriel's house, after all. ] What are you... what is it?

[ To be fair, Michael is close to a few contacts in Brian's address book, but, at the same time, it's always amusing to ask Michael to bring "bitches" or something equally as wrong to Brian. Perhaps it's because he trusts Michael that he texts him when he's inebriated or ridiculously tired; he knows that Michael won't make it so he ends up in a ditch. It's a very pleasant thing to be aware of.

Brian is too busy trying to settle himself on the bed to fully realize that Michael's turning his head. Somewhere, part of his brain had just assumed that Michael was in a deep enough sleep to not notice that Brian was sliding into the bed next to him. Right now, somewhere in his brain, Brian is aware of what a poor life decision this was, but he finds that it's rather hard to care. ]

It's nothing, you're rather warm, go back to sleep. [ It's not Gabriel, and that much can probably be determined by the voice, as quiet and muffled as it is. He doesn't want Michael to get up, because that means he has to as well. ] Honestly.

i'd be disappointed if you were sorry! 8|

[ If it were anyone else, Michael would probably be tougher, more disapproving, but there's a certain tolerance that Michael reserves rather specifically for Brian. He knows that playing favourites in this odd sort of way is not really an adequate way of responding to others, but he and Brian are tied in a sort of specific way - a way that Brian will carry until his grave, and one that Michael will carry until it starts to fade and heal more thoroughly.

There's a long, long pause.

When Michael speaks again, his voice is a veritable growl:
]

Brian.

[ Brian knows that if he was anyone else he'd be treated differently; if the circumstances were different, Michael would be tougher and more disapproving of his antics. However, circumstances are what they are and Brian is most definitely the person tied to Michael by that one special way. It's a stronger bond than Brian is ever willing to admit, but it's one he cherishes and one where he refuses to tell a soul just why it's so strong. (Sure some might be able to tell, but-)

There's silence on Brian's end for a very long minute.

It takes him a moment to say anything and when Brian does, it's quiet. He's tired and he doesn't want to fight, so maybe if he just acts pathetic enough, Michael won't mind. ]

Michael. This- Not my bed, right? Your bed?

GOOD.

[ The pathetic act almost works for a moment, because Michael is privately (or so he thinks - his brothers, at the very least, must certainly know it by now) incredibly soft and easily taken by helplessness, naturally inclined to protect those who need it, but he quickly remembers that this is Brian. With one sharp, swift movement, Michael sits up, not quite glaring at his minder, though the intensity and frown are too much for a simple stare. ]

Well done. [ 8| ] You're very observant, Brian.

[ NOW GET OUT is the silent implication. ]
